Can German WW2 veterans wear medals and decorations earned while serving Nazi Germany?

I mean the way that say, an American World War 2 vet would wear his if he donned his WW2 dress uniform? I know its illegal in modern germany to deny the holocaust, nazism is frowned upon, etc, so what if these guys earned legitimate awards, like an iron cross with a swastika in the middle?

There is no law in the U.S and many other countries of displaying swastika’s or the Iron Cross etc.But in France and Germany it is illegal and you are not allowed to support the nazi perty in those countries.

      hope this helps

It’s illegal to wear or display anything with a Swastika or SS insignia in France and Germany. But, anywhere else is fine.
